UAPMRCa activity in the first year after its foundation. Two group exhibitions were organized:

“Voces Vere” — which took place at the Leonardo Da Vinci Italian Cultural Center, Hall of the Governors, and “Summer Rhapsody” at the Consulate General of Romania in Montreal.

A project titled “Romanie, plai de dor” was also created, with the participation of painters Anca Ciupitu, Rodica Vinca, Maggie Romanovici, Lavi Picu and Daniela Muset across two phases. The works depicting images from Romania were donated by the UAPMRCa to the Romanian House of the Annunciation Cathedral in Montreal. The inauguration took place in 2023 (first phase) on the occasion of the birthday of the great Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu (January 15), and the second phase was dedicated to Romania Day (December 1).

2024

On March 20, 2024, at the Consulate General of Romania in Montreal, the UAPMRCa held the exhibition “Homage to Brâncuși — Artistic Visions”. Thanks to Consul General Tullia Balla for her support and hospitality, to Cristina Sofronie for the design of the beautiful poster, and special thanks to the Union’s artists for the wonderful works exhibited and to the public who joined us. Congratulations to all! The exhibition was open on working days at the Consulate through the end of March.

A second exhibition dedicated to Brâncuși was held at the Leonardo Da Vinci Cultural Center on March 23, 2024, with the participation of most Union members.
